At EcoTerraBio, a passionate group of volunteers from various ETB departments have come together to champion sustainability. This initiative, in collaboration with WWF Türkiye on the Adopt a Beach project, reflects ETB’s deep commitment to ecological balance, soil conservation, and biodiversity. Through EcoTerraBio, we actively contribute to a cleaner, greener future, embodying our core principles of environmental responsibility. The name EcoTerraBio captures our core values: Eco stands for ecological responsibility, Terra for land preservation, and Bio for the respect we have for all living organisms. These values are at the heart of our mission to create a sustainable future. EcoTerraBio is more than just a project; it extends ETB’s existing environmental initiatives, such as our Zero Waste certification across all offices. We take pride in the progress we have made in reducing waste, promoting recycling, and minimizing our environmental footprint, both inside and outside the workplace.
Through EcoTerraBio, we have expanded our sustainability efforts beyond the office to focus on protecting Türkiye’s coastlines. Our collaboration with WWF Türkiye on the Adopt a Beach program allows us to make a direct impact on the environment by cleaning and safeguarding beaches from plastic pollution. Our most recent Adopt a Beach event, organized in collaboration with our partner Eneco, was a tremendous success. Together with Eneco’s dedicated team, we worked to remove plastic waste from coastal areas, contributing to cleaner, healthier beaches for future generations. It was incredibly inspiring to witness the collective impact of our teams and their commitment to environmental stewardship.
As part of our long-term vision, ETB plans to expand the Adopt a Beach program and similar environmental projects to ETB locations situated in coastal regions throughout Türkiye. With offices in cities like İzmit, İzmir, Antalya, Alanya and Trabzon, and other coastal locations, we see a significant opportunity to broaden our efforts and protect even more of Türkiye’s precious shorelines. This expansion means that our environmental efforts will not be limited to a single event. We are committed to long-term action, ensuring that every ETB location near the coast plays a role in protecting local beaches, which are increasingly under threat from pollution. By scaling up our initiatives, we aim to make a lasting and positive impact on both the land and marine ecosystems that are crucial to Türkiye’s natural heritage.
The expansion of EcoTerraBio to various coastal regions across Türkiye is just the beginning. We are determined to set a standard for sustainable business practices and to further expand our environmental responsibility. This involves not only reducing waste and encouraging recycling but also taking an active role in projects focused on the restoration and preservation of natural environments. Our goal is to engage as many people as possible in these efforts, from ETB employees to local communities and international partners. We hope that our work will inspire others to take responsibility and act for a greener future. Together we continue to seek innovative ways to promote sustainability and maintain clean coastlines. Whether through organizing events, developing new projects we remain committed to protecting our planet.
EcoTerraBio is more than just a project—it’s a movement that reflects ETB’s core values and demonstrates our commitment to safeguarding the Earth for future generations. Together, we can make a difference—for cleaner seas, healthier beaches, and a more sustainable future.
